March 28, 2024, Chandler Cultural Foundation Special Events Meeting Minutes Susan Baker made a motion to approve the meeting minutes from the March 28, 2024, Special Events Meeting. Renee Levin seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously, 5-0. The minutes were approved as written. Action Agenda None Briefing 2. Center Stage, October 20, 2024 Draft Budget Mari Jo Woolf-Whitaker presented the draft budget for review. During the presentation, new committee member Ellie Watland inquired about the event and received a concise overview of its past execution. Following thorough review and discussion of the budget and event objectives, the committee granted approval for the budget to proceed to the Chandler Cultural Foundation Board for final approval. 3. Entertainment Terri Rettig expressed her intent to listen to the committee's ideas regarding event themes, emphasizing her aim to align entertainment choices with the selected theme. 4. Theme Susan Baker proposed a 1920s Paris-themed event, recommending the band We Three for their ability to sing in French, with the added note that she had a personal connection to them. Building on this theme, Christopher McMullan suggested a Chicago-themed event. Peppur Chambers volunteered to craft an interactive 1920s theatrical experience. To gauge preferences, Mari Jo Woolf-Whitaker proposed that Danielle Sezairi circulate a survey among all committee members, presenting these three options and allowing them to vote for their favorite.
