In April 2024, twenty-eight (28) households made twenty-eight (28) reports regarding aircraft activity – all were noise
reports. Five (5) of the twenty-eight (28) households were repeat residences.

Noise Report
➢ First household in Gilbert reported an increase in noise with aircraft all day long. Reviewed a month’s worth of
flight tracking data that revealed a majority of the aircraft being encountered were conducting pattern work on
the south runway. All aircraft were well above regulatory altitudes.
➢ Second household in Gilbert reported a constant stream of airplanes over the neighborhood. Flight tracking data
revealed flight training aircraft conducting patten work. All aircraft were within 300 feet of pattern altitude
before turning crosswind.
➢ Third household in Sun Lakes reported loud aircraft in the area. Flight tracking data revealed an Edge 58 (Extra
300) maneuvering over the former Memorial Airfield approximately 5.6 miles from the residence and originated
out of the Stellar Airpark.
➢ Fourth household reported a loud helicopter over the neighborhood in the early evening. Flight tracking
revealed that UH-60 Blackhawk from the AZ ANG overflew at regulatory altitudes.
➢ Fifth household reported increased noise from aircraft. Flight tracking revealed that most of the aircraft
encountered were arriving, departing, or conducting pattern work at the Stellar Airpark. Resident was provided
the contact information for the FAA office in Scottsdale.
➢ Sixth household reported continuous noise from aircraft leaving the airport and asked what amount of take offs
that are allowed in a 24-hour period. Flight tracking data revealed that a majority of the aircraft encountered
are straight out departures to the southwest. All aircraft were above regulatory altitudes.
➢ Seventh household in Gilbert reported a constant stream of airplanes over the neighborhood. Flight tracking
data revealed flight training aircraft conducting pattern work. All aircraft were within 300 feet of pattern altitude
before turning crosswind.
➢ Eighth household reported an increase in aircraft noise, especially at night. A weeks’ worth of flight tracking
data was reviewed and indicated all aircraft were within 300 feet of pattern altitude prior to turning crosswind.
➢ Ninth, tenth and eleventh households reported an extraordinarily loud aircraft on a weekend morning. Flight
tracking data revealed a CHD based T-6 Texan conducting pattern work at regulatory altitudes.
➢ #12 – fifteen separate households called to report a loud aircraft flying around the airport for approximately an
hour. Flight tracking data revealed a CHD based T-6 Texan conducting pattern work at regulatory altitudes.
➢ Thirteenth household reported an aircraft late at night. Flight tracking revealed a flight training aircraft out of
the Goodyear Airport conducting pattern work at regulatory altitudes. Courtesy request email sent to chief flight
instructor at United Airlines.
➢ Fourteenth household in Sun Lakes reported an increase in aircraft noise over the last six months. Reviewed
two weeks’ worth of flight tracking data that revealed all aircraft were at regulatory altitudes.
