Motion to approve DV Commission Subcommittee Minutes of March 13, 2024. Motion: Commissioner Codkind Seconded: Commissioner Curtis Unanimous approval 3. Motion for Domestic Violence Commission to sponsor a Mother’s Day Breakfast for the Domestic Violence Shelter residents on May 12, 2024. Motion: Commissioner Hinchey Seconded: Commissioner Perez Unanimous approval 4. Motion to participate in Boishakhi Eid Mela event on April 21, 2024. No motion brought forward – tabled to 2025 Discussion ACESDV training for Domestic Violence Commission - July at the 9 a.m. Domestic Violence Commission meeting Arizona College Prep High School - participation at the Mental Health Awareness Event on May 2, 2024 – Katie Cain and Commissioners Curtis/Perez/Morris will attend Field of Hope - April 14, 2024 - 2 p.m. set up time and the ceremony begins at 6 p.m. Vice Chair Codkind will be the DV Commission speaker Domestic Violence Event 2024 – Save the date will be posted on Eventbrite this week. AVION approved for the Commission to use their logo. Media package will be available to send out. Moderated panel of speakers this year. Member Comments/Announcements Genogram demonstration by Chair Grieve at the August Domestic Violence meeting Vice Chair announced the importance of attendance at meetings, holding each other accountable. Rules of Procedures will be reviewed in May to clarify/change meeting quorum Open Meeting Law training at next meeting. Katie will send out our current Domestic Violence Commission Rules of Procedure. May meeting - Voting for Chair and Vice-Chair. Email nominations or bring to next meeting.
