CALL TO ORDER / ROLL CALL 
Subcommittee Chair Aimee Griffith-Johnson called the Special Populations Subcommittee meeting 
to order at 5:24 p.m.

ACTION 
1. Evaluation, Discussion, and Development of Recommendations for Funding for FY2024-2025 
General Fund Special Populations Proposals.  
 
Community Resources Senior Manager, Riann Balch provided an overview of the tools the 
Subcommittee will use during the meeting to develop recommendations, the amount of funds 
available and the $10,000 minimum award requirement. 
 
 
Subcommittee Chair Griffth-Johnson facilitated a discussion of each of the following FY 2024-2025 
General Fund Special Populations proposals. Subcommittee members made initial base funding 
recommendations to be presented to the Housing and Human Services Commission at the next 
regular meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.

a potential increase in funding. Dollar figures represent the recommended additional funding to 
the base funding recommendation above. If less contingency funds are received, funds should be 
applied to projects by score from high to low until they are depleted.

Subcommittee member Julie Martin left the meeting at 8 pm.  
 
Motion: Subcommittee member Ryan Magel made a motion to approve the initial funding 
recommendations, including the contingency plan, for FY 2024-2025 General Fund Special 
Populations proposals. Subcommittee Chair Griffith-Johnson seconded the motion.

Results: Motion passed 2-0. 
 
Subcommittee Chair Griffith-Johnson thanked everyone for their time and commitment during 
this process.
