Meeting Minutes Public Safety Fire Personnel Retirement Board Regular Meeting May 1, 2024, | 8:45 a.m. Council Chambers Conference Room 88 E. April 3, 2024, Minutes Regular Meeting Minutes of Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Consent Agenda Motion and Vote Citizen Member Crawford moved to approve the Consent Agenda of the May 1, 2024, Regular Public Safety Fire Personnel Retirement Board Meeting. Motion was seconded by Chairperson Turner. Motion carried unanimously (4-0). Executive Session – Pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.02 (A), the Chandler Local Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board may vote to convene in executive session to discuss or consider confidential records exempt by law from public inspection and/or to consult with Board’s Page of 2 3 attorney for legal advice and to consider the Board’s position and to instruct the Board’s attorney regarding its position on any of the items. The Board will take action on those items in open session. Action Agenda Item No. 2 and Discussion 2. New Membership for Anderson, Gonzales and Goodman Consideration, Discussion and Appropriate Action for New Membership for Nicole Anderson, Eric Gonzales and Tanner Goodman. Executive Session – Chairperson Turner asked for a motion to end the Open Session and to move into Executive Session for legal advice. Citizen Member Crawford made a motion to end the Open Session and to move into Executive Session for legal advice in matter Action Agenda Items No. 2 - 3. Fire Member Elect Cravener seconded the motion, and the vote was unanimous to end the Open Session and move into Executive Session at 8:48 a.m. Open Session – Chairperson Turner asked for a motion to end the Executive Session and move into Open Session. Citizen Member Crawford made the motion to end the Executive Session and to move into Open Session; Fire Member Elect Cravener seconded the motion, and the vote was unanimous to end the Executive Session and move into Open Session at 9:08 a.m. Action Agenda Item No. 2 Motion and Vote Citizen Member Crawford moved to find that Nicole Anderson, Eric Gonzales and Tanner Goodman met the applicable PSPRS membership definitions for service with the City of Chandler Fire Department with a hire date of January 2, 2024, and an effective Tier 3 service date of April 1, 2024. Motion was seconded by Fire Member Elect Armstrong. Motion carried unanimously (4-0) Action Agenda Item No. 3 and Discussion 3. Review Pre-Existing Medical Condition(s) for Anderson, Gonzales and Goodman Consideration, Discussion and Appropriate Action for Pre-Existing Medical Condition(s) review for Nicole Anderson, Eric Gonzales and Tanner Goodman. Action Agenda Item No. 3 Motion and Vote Citizen Member Crawford moved to declare one pre-existing condition(s) as listed on the pre-existing condition(s) memo sheet for Nicole Anderson. Motion was seconded by Fire Member Elect Cravener. Motion carried unanimously (4-0) Citizen Member Crawford moved to declare one pre-existing condition(s) as listed on the pre-existing condition(s) memo sheet for Eric Gonzales. Motion was seconded by Fire Member Elect Cravener. Chairperson Turner moved to adjourn the meeting; seconded by Fire Member Elect Armstrong. Motion carried unanimously (4-0).
