RESOLUTION NO. 5825 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, 
ARIZONA, AMENDING THE CURRENT CHANDLER CITY COUNCIL 
RULES AND PROCEDURES ALLOWING FOR PUBLIC COMMENT 
DURING COUNCIL WORK SESSIONS AND SUB-COMMITTEE MEETINGS 
 
WHEREAS, Article II of the Charter for the City of Chandler outlines the positions, powers and 
duties of the City Council;  
 
WHEREAS, Article II Section 2.12 of the Charter for the City of Chandler describes the 
procedures of the City Council, including that the Council shall determine its own rules, order of 
business and conduct of public meetings; and 
 
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council to promote participation of its residents during 
public meetings and to allow for comments from the public on work session and subcommittee 
meetings.  
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, 
as follows:  
 
Section 1. 
Approves and adopts the Amended City Council Rules and Procedures in the form 
attached hereto as “Exhibit A” and incorporated herein by reference to allow public 
comment during council work sessions and sub-committee meetings. 
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, this 18th day of 
July, 2024.
