Motion to approve Domestic Violence Proclamation - Tabled 4. Motion to approve Letter of Support for Field of Hope 2025 Motion: Commissioner Hinchey Seconded: Commissioner Imam Unanimous approval Discussion Change August meeting date – proposed date of Tuesday, August 13, 2024 Domestic Violence Event 2024 – email went out to prior attendees. Mayor Hartke will be speaking, and Council Member Ellis agreed to speak about her role on MAG DV. We need to know who we want on the panel and need a facilitator. Commissioner Hinchey will reach out to people for the panel. Need questions for panel members. Next meeting we will discuss agenda and food. Domestic Violence Community Outreach Subcommittee – community outreach opportunities – Library will partner with Commissioner Grieve about the Genograms. We can invite the community to come to the Library to learn about Genograms with a tentative date of October 26, 2024. Library will assist with marketing, advertising, putting QR code out. They will hold a space at the downtown branch. Discussion about Rules of Procedure – will reach out to City Attorney about addressing absences at the Commission meeting. Member Comments/Announcements State Coalition Conference on August 14-15, 2024. July there will be a two week virtual core advocacy training. It will be a mixture of the Share Experience and Sexual Violence for Advocacy training. Gala will be a cocktail hour in downtown Phoenix on November 8, 2024.
