RESOLUTION NO. 5839
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER,
ARIZONA AUTHORIZING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
(IGA) BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHANDLER AND THE MESA UNIFIED
SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 4, FOR THE PROVISION OF EMERGENCY
ACCESS TO DISTRICT CAMPUS SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS BY THE
CHANDLER POLICE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS the Chandler Police Department responds to calls for police service at District school
campuses located within the boundaries of the City; and
WHEREAS, in the event of an ongoing emergency on the Mesa Unified School District No.4
Campus, the Chandler Police Department desires to provide first responders with information
available through the Campus security camera and surveillance systems to ensure prompt
emergency response services;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona,
as follows:
Section 1.
That approval is granted for the Chandler Police Department to execute the IGA
with the Mesa Unified School District No.4 for surveillance system emergency
access.
Section 2.
That the Mayor or designee is authorized to sign the IGA and any Amendments and
that the Chief of Police is appointed agent for the City of Chandler, to administer,
execute and submit all documents and any other necessary instruments in
connection with said program. The Chief of Police is authorized to approve and
execute, on behalf of the City of Chandler, any such future extensions of this
Agreement under the same terms and conditions not to exceed the duration of the
original agreement.
