Chicago St., Chandler, AZ Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Chair Codkind at 9:10 a.m. Roll Call Commission Attendance Staff Attendance Vice Chair Dawn Curtis Katie Cain – Staff Liaison/Chandler Victim Services Commissioner Jaime Fernandez Commissioner Salina Imam Commissioner Michael Morris Commissioner Megan Perez Commissioner Ruth Tan Lim Commissioner Sharon Tipton Absent - Excused Chair LaTisha Codkind Commissioner Chelsea Grieve Commissioner Samantha Hinchey Scheduled Public Appearances Chandler City Councilmember Christine Ellis – shared information about the Chandler Candlelight Vigil on October 24th at 5:30pm and her role as Vice Chair of the Maricopa Association of Governments Domestic Violence Council. Unscheduled Public Appearances Community members (Beth Brizel, Shivana Debisaran, Melissa Rush, and Denise LaBerge) attended to introduce themselves to the DV Commission in hopes of serving on the DV Commission in the future. Domestic Violence Event 2024 – September 24th at 10 am at the Avion Center Histories of Trauma: A Story of Generations - Discussion of logistics 5. Genogram Presentation at Chandler Library has been changed to October 27, 2024 6. Domestic Violence Awareness Month proclamation – Monday, September 9, 2024 at 6 p.m. in the City of Chandler Council Chambers Member Comments/Announcements Commissioner Tipton has been accepted on the Domestic Violence Community Outreach Subcommittee Proclamation for Domestic Violence Awareness Month was read at the September 9, 2024 City of Chandler Council meeting.
