Professional Experience
I have worked in Government Relations for 5 years, primarily in the area of the Arizona State
Legislature. One of our largest clients is the Arizona Association of Providers for People with
Disabilities (AAPPD). I am particularly passionate about issues that impact Arizonans with
disabilities and fostering an environment that encourages people to live their lives as
independently as possible. In my professional experience, I have had the chance to work with a
variety of community stakeholders on a variety of issues and pride myself in my ability to be
nonpartisan and impartial, looking at each situation based on it's merits. While I do not foresee a
scenario where my work would impede my ability to serve on a Board or Commission, I absolutely
intend to always remain impartial and would commit to being transparent should any scenario of
the sort arise.
Board/Committee Experience
I have never served on a board or a committee, however, in my professional capacities I have
interacted with many. I have interacted with public bodies from the local, state, and federal level,
and have strong experience engaging with non-profit boards. In my office we manage three
nonprofits, so I have experience with the necessary procedures and policies as it relates to Board
etiquette.
Briefly explain why you would like to serve on the board / commission
As a new Chandler resident and first time homeowner, I am eager for the opportunity to use my
professional knowledge and experience to serve my new community. I believe that civic
engagement is absolutely critical and am looking forward to the opportunity to put my passion for
community and civic engagement to a good purpose.
