Page 2 of 3 Action Agenda and Discussion 1. Motion to approve DV Commission Minutes of October 9, 2024 Motion: Commissioner Morris Seconded: Commissioner Brizel Unanimous approval, 6-0 2. Motion to approve DV Commission Subcommittee Minutes of October 9, 2024 Motion: Vice Chair Curtis Seconded: Commissioner Grieve Unanimous approval, 6-0 3. Motion to participate in the Multicultural Festival – Saturday, January 18, 2025 Motion: Chair Codkind Seconded: Commissioner Perez Unanimous approval, 6-0 4. Motion to do a project with the children at Boys and Girls Club as a Thank You for their participation in the DV Awareness Event Tabled to the December meeting Discussion 5. Pride in Chandler on November 16, 2024 – discussion on activities to do at the event and scheduling. 6. PROCLAMATIONS: Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (for January 2025) – Commissioner Perez Child Abuse Awareness Month (for March 2025) – Commissioner Codkind Sexual Violence Proclamation (for March 2025) – Commissioner Curtis 7. Domestic Violence Awareness Event 2025 – check on date of September 23rd, 2025. Possible theme: Technology, solution focused, awareness, safety, & communication. Possibly have officer come talk to Commission about technology safety. Commissioner Perez can compile a list for the next meeting, as long as all emails are CC to Katie Cain. Things to consider: Avion Center date, 11 vendor tables maximum, scale back on food, ensure all speakers know exact location of event. 8. Domestic Violence Community Outreach Subcommittee – thank you to Commissioner Grieve and Commissioner Tipton for the Genogram/Genealogy Library event. Possibly conduct CUSD Healthy Relationship tabling and participate in Mental Health Day at ACP in May.
