RESOLUTION NO.  5854 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, 
ARIZONA, APPROVING CONTRACT NUMBER 535-25 BETWEEN THE 
ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND THE CITY OF CHANDLER TO 
ACCEPT STATE HOUSING TRUST FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $343,387 
TO PREVENT HOUSING INSECURITY; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY 
MANAGER TO TAKE ALL ACTION NECESSARY OR PRUDENT TO CARRY 
OUT THE INTENT OF THIS RESOLUTION AND IMPLEMENT THE 
PROGRAM. 
 
WHEREAS, the Arizona Department of Housing (“ADOH”) notified the City of Chandler that it 
would receive $343,387 of State Housing Trust Funds (“HTF”) for the purpose of preventing 
housing insecurity pursuant to the Preventing Housing Insecurity Flexible Funds (“PHIFF”) 
Program; and  
 
WHEREAS, the City of Chandler and ADOH desire to prevent housing insecurity through the use 
of flexible funding in coordination with the delivery of housing stability services; and 
 
WHEREAS, the City of Chandler and ADOH wish to execute a Contract for the City of Chandler 
to administer the funds in accordance with the PHIFF Program and the State Housing Fund 
Program Summary and Application Guide requirements; 
 
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona 
as follows: 
 
Section 1.   Accepts the HTF funds in an amount up to $343,387 from ADOH. 
 
Section 2.  Authorizes the Mayor of the City of Chandler, or his designee, to execute the Contract 
with ADOH in substantially the approved form attached hereto as Exhibit “A” and 
incorporated herein by this reference. 
 
Section 3.   Authorizes the City Manager, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the City, 
appropriate certifications and other documents and take such other actions as are 
necessary or appropriate to carry out the intent of this Resolution and administer the 
HTF funds in accordance with program requirements.
