Action Agenda and Discussion 1. Motion to approve DV Commission Minutes of November 13, 2024 Motion: Commissioner Brizel Seconded: Commissioner Tipton Unanimous approval, 8-0 2. Motion to approve DV Commission Subcommittee Minutes of November 13, 2024 Motion: Commissioner Grieve Seconded: Commissioner Imam Unanimous approval, 8-0 3. Motion to do a project with the children at Boys and Girls Club as a Thank You for their participation in the DV Awareness Event - February 12, 2025 from 3:30-6:30 pm Motion: Commissioner Grieve Seconded: Commissioner Tipton Unanimous approval, 8-0 Discussion 4. Multicultural Festival participation on Saturday, January 18, 2025 Commissioners chose the two-hour shift to table at the event 10:30-12:30 Hinchey – Grieve 12:30-2:30 Tipton – Perez 2:30-4:30 Tipton – Brizel 4:30-6:30 Imam - Morris 5. Proclamations 2025: Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (for January 2025) – Commissioner Perez presented the proclamation draft. The draft was finalized, and Staff Liaison will submit on City of Chandler website. Sexual Violence Proclamation (for March 2025) – Commissioner Curtis presented the proclamation draft. The draft was finalized, and Staff Liaison will submit on City of Chandler website. 6. Domestic Violence Awareness Event 2025 – Reserved September 23rd, 2025 at AVION. Theme: Technology, solution focused, awareness, safety, & communication. Possibly talk about both areas, the dangers and then talk about strategies to encourage others. Katie Cain will invite Sgt. Alnas to the February DV meeting to discuss technology. Looking for Technology speakers or panel. 7. Domestic Violence Community Outreach Subcommittee - checking into vendors and locations for a Resource event - will speak to CUSD Healthy Relationship tabling in January - checking into Mental Health Day at ACP in May Member Comments/Announcements Pride Event was very nice and people were happy with results.
