ORDINANCE NO. 5118 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, ARIZONA, FORMING A RESIDENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO GUIDE STAFF AND CONSULTANTS IN THE CHANDLER GENERAL PLAN UPDATE. WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council desire to update the Chandler General Plan pursuant to Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 9-461.06 and in a manner that is inclusive and representative of the needs and desires of Chandler’s citizens; and WHEREAS, a Resident Advisory Committee is deemed necessary by the Mayor and City Council to guide staff and consultants through the process of updating the Chandler General Plan; and WHEREAS, the Resident Advisory Committee is considered to be a public body as defined by Arizona Revised Statues, and therefore, any meeting of the Resident Advisory Committee is subject to Arizona open meeting laws; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, as follows: Section 1. Section 2. A Resident Advisory Committee, comprised of twenty-one (21) members, shall be formed to guide staff and consultants in updating the Chandler General Plan and all of its elements as required by Arizona Revised Statutes. The Resident Advisory Committee shall sunset after the final draft of the updated Chandler General Plan is adopted by the City Council.
