Arizona Ave. Chandler, Arizona 85225 Subject: 2025 Next Twenty Economic Vitality Report Grant Dear Mr. Miranda and Mr. Winer: Thank you for the submittal of the proposal and grant request presented at the March 11, 2025, Industrial Development Authority (IDA) meeting. The IDA approved the grant request in the amount of $150,000 that will fund the engagement of Arizona State University (ASU) to prepare a twenty-year economic vitality plan for the City of Chandler. This plan will address multiple topics critical to the city’s future economic prosperity and will complement long-term planning efforts being undertaken for the city’s 2026 General Plan update. The IDA will pay the grant in Fiscal Year 2025-26, and will cover $145,000 in expenses related to the signed contract with ASU Seidman Research Contract and $5,000 in reimbursement for student expenses related to their participation in the Thunderbird Global Challenge Lab. Upon receipt of invoices, please forward them to the IDA for payment. Quarterly progress reports to the IDA will be used to monitor the program success and should begin no later than July 2025.
