Professional Experience
I have been employed with Chandler Gilbert Arc for 15 years supporting individuals with intellectual
and developmental disabilities. I have worked from Direct Care to Community Living Coordinator to
my current position of Program Support Liaison.
Board/Committee Experience
I have been on a handful of committees within the agency I work for however, no civil committee
experience. I am actively trying to find a Board Position where my skills can be of use. Most
recently, I was accepted into the Supported Decision-Making Training Advisory Committee with The
Arc of Arizona. I've been involved with the Sprout Film Festival Committee since its' induction. I am
also an active member of the Chandler Business Alliance (on behalf of CGArc).
Briefly explain why you would like to serve on the board / commission
I have been an advocate for individuals with ID and DD for 15 years. And while I have enjoyed
advocating from the frontlines, I know there is so much more to do. I want to encourage as well as
be a part of creating community inclusion for our Chandler members with disabilities. There is
nothing more personally rewarding than to see the fruits of ones labor, especially when it creates
opportunities for others whose voice is not always heard.

Professional Experience
I am a graduate of the 2022 City of Chandler CIVIC program. My professional experience includes
working for major Chandler employers such as Chandler Regional Medical Center and Chandler
Unified School District - in both positions I worked as a registered nurse. Nursing is my second
career. Prior to nursing I worked in several administrative roles in companies throughout the valley
including Avnet and the City of Mesa. I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors of
Science in Nursing and I graduated from Chandler-Gilbert Community College with an Associate of
Applied Science in Nursing in 2017.
Board/Committee Experience
I served as treasurer for one term, and vice-president for one term for the International Moms Club,
San Tan Valley Chapter. MOMS Club is an official 501c3 organization and was professionally run by
the local chapter. I was an active member from 2009 through 2012.
Briefly explain why you would like to serve on the board / commission
I am a mom of two disabled sons and I feel that I have a unique perspective as a health care
provider and also a parent to two special needs children. I have spent my adult life advocating for
the underserved. I am active in the disability community online where I help connect parents to
resources. I also am an ambassador in a doctor founded online community supporting the autism
community called Autism Roadmaps. In my work as a nurse, I am a public health provider. At
Chandler Unified School District I oversaw multiple public school health offices and managed a
team of nursing assistants. I regularly advocated for many special needs students. At Chandler
Regional Hospital I worked in the Community Wellness department where we provided free
medical care for the uninsured. It was important to be aware of all the resources available in our
community. I would like to make a difference in the City of Chandler by helping to ensure my
neighbors who are disabled or are caring for the disabled are represented and have a voice.
