RESOLUTION NO. 5930 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, ARIZONA, APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHANDLER AND THE CHANDLER UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 80, KYRENE SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 28, MESA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 4, AND TEMPE UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 213, TO COLLABORATE ON A YOUNG FAMILIES AND PROFESSIONALS COMMUNITY ATTRACTION CAMPAIGN. WHEREAS, the City of Chandler wishes to partner with the Chandler Unified School District No. 80, Kyrene School District No. 28, Mesa Unified School District No. 4, and Tempe Union School District No. 213, to execute a young families and professionals community attraction campaign; and WHEREAS, funding for the first year of the campaign has been secured through a $150,000 grant issued to the City of Chandler’s Economic Development Division by the Chandler Industrial Development Authority; and WHEREAS, the Districts have agreed to contribute $10,000 each toward this campaign; and WHEREAS, the City shall select and contract with a marketing agency for the campaign, and the City and the Districts shall collaborate in planning the overall strategy and execution of the campaign. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, as follows: Section 1. Approving the intergovernmental agreement between the City of Chandler and the Districts in substantially the form attached as Exhibit “A”. Section 2. Authorizing the mayor to sign and execute the intergovernmental agreement on behalf of the City of Chandler. Section 3. Authorizing the city manager to sign and execute all documents, contracts, or agreements necessary to implement the young families and professionals community attraction campaign under the terms of the intergovernmental agreement.
