Meeting Minutes Chandler Museum Foundation Executive Subcommittee Regular Meeting September 24, 2025 | 2:00 p.m. Chandler Museum, Saguaro Room 300 S. Chandler Village Drive, Chandler, AZ Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Barbara Meyerson at 2:03 p.m. Roll Call Board Member Attendance Staff Attendance Barbara Meyerson, Chair Peter Bugg, Museum Operations Manager Rich Feely, Vice-Chair Becca Vega, Marketing & Volunteer Greg Herriman, Treasurer Coordinator Absent Unscheduled Public Appearances None. Consent Agenda 1. Approve Minutes from August 20, 2025, Museum Foundation Executive Subcommittee. • Rich Feely made a motion to approve Minutes from August 20, 2025. • Greg Herriman seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously (3-0). The minutes were approved as presented. Action Agenda None. Page 2 of 3 Briefing 2. Discover Your Museum Event Update. • Chandler Museum Foundation (CMF) Board Member Jacki Ryan gave updates on the planning for the Discover Your Museum event on October 4th, 2025: o 84 RSVP’s received o Completed tasks include: catering, music, coffee, tables, photo, lanyards, gift baskets, etc. o In progress tasks include: Saguaro Room screen presentation, thank you cards, CMF rack cards, etc. o Mrs. Ryan recognized CMF Board Member Devin Moreno for her work decorating the gift baskets. 3. Museum Strategic Planning Update. • CMF Board Chair Barbara Meyerson shared her observations on the strategic planning process. • Chandler Museum Manager Jody Crago shared that multiple small groups of staff had already spoken with Keen Independent Consultants. • Rich Feely and Greg Herriman shared that they have spoken with or will speak to Keen Independent Consultants. 4. Meeting Agenda Items for October 7, 2025 Chandler Museum Foundation Board Meeting. • Consent Agenda o Approval of Minutes from September 2, 2025 Chandler Museum Foundation Board Meeting • Action o Approval of Contract Templates for Art Social Programs • Discussion o October 4th "Discover Your Museum" Event Update and Debrief o Call for CMF Board Candidates o Board Chair's Report o Museum Manager's Report • Calendar o Calendar of Exhibitions or Events 5. Museum Manager's Report. • Sonoran Shapes + Structures: Desert-Inspired Architecture and Design opened on September 20 • The Newest Americans: New Citizens Reflect on What America Means to Them opens on September 30, 2025 • Facility renovations underway: o New doors installed in the Price Gallery o New trees and plants planned for grounds o Benches near the entrance resurfaced and will be resurfaced regularly o String lights installed above sunken courtyard Page 3 of 3 • The Chandler Museum was nominated for East Valley Best Museum. o Voting open September 20 – October 20 Member Comments None.
