RESOLUTION NO. 5941 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CHANDLER CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING 
THE CITY TO ENTER INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE 
ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO ACCEPT FUNDS IN 
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $50,000 FOR THE REHABILITATION OF 
RUNWAY 4R-22L AT THE CHANDLER MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. 
WHEREAS, the City of Chandler (City) owns the Chandler Municipal Airport (Airport); and 
WHEREAS, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) periodically programs funds to 
municipal airport facilities through its grant programs; and 
WHEREAS, the ADOT requires the City, as the Airport Sponsor, to sign agreements accepting 
the grants; and 
WHEREAS, the City anticipates receiving grant funding in an amount not to exceed $50,000 for 
the design for the rehabilitation of Runway 4R-22L; and 
WHEREAS, the ADOT grants will provide funding necessary for the completion of the 
rehabilitation of Runway 4R-22L. 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona 
authorizes the Mayor, or designee, to accept funds and execute an ADOT grant agreement and 
other necessary documents in a form approved by the City Attorney and in an amount not to 
exceed $50,000, or such higher amount as ADOT may ultimately award, for the rehabilitation of 
Runway 4R-22L.
