Set an Executive Session 
1. 
Executive Session for Legal Advice and Litigation–-A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(3) and (A)(4) – for legal 
advice with the City Attorney relating to sign code amendments and enforcement and 
discussion or consultation with the City Attorney to consider its position and instruct its City 
Attorneys regarding the City’s position in pending or contemplated litigation or settlement 
discussion conducted in order to avoid or resolve litigation the matter of Ramirez et al. v. City 
of Chandler; Trujillo et al. v. City of Chandler; Home Builders Association of Central Arizona v. 
Arizona Department of Water Resources; Wakefield v. City of Chandler; Opioids Litigation 
Settlements; and Settlements in litigation related to products containing per-and poly 
fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). 
  
Action Agenda Motion and Vote 
Councilmember Poston moved to hold an Executive Session Meeting immediately following the 
Special Meeting; Seconded by Councilmember Hawkins.  
 
Motion carried unanimously (7-0).
