RESOLUTION NO. 5955 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR TRANSIT SERVICES BETWEEN THE REGIONAL PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY AND THE CITY OF CHANDLER TO PROVIDE FIXED ROUTE BUS, PARATRANSIT, AND RIDECHOICE SERVICES AND APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF PUBLIC FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025/2026 IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $824,208. WHEREAS, the City of Chandler desires to provide Fixed Route Transit, Paratransit and RideChoice transportation services to its citizens, including those with disabilities and the elderly; and WHEREAS, an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) between the City of Chandler and the RPTA is required to obtain the provision of the Fixed Route Transit, Paratransit and Ride Choice transportation services for City of Chandler citizens; and WHEREAS, the term of the IGA will be effective as of July 1, 2025, in order to cover services for the current fiscal year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, Section 1. Approving the terms and conditions of the IGA with the RPTA to provide Fixed Route Bus, Paratransit, and RideChoice transportation services to the City of Chandler; and Section 2. Authorizing the Mayor to sign and execute the IGA on behalf of the City of Chandler; and Section 3. Authorizing the expenditure of public funds for FY 2025/2026 in the estimated amount of $824,208.
