Professional Experience
As owner of Bilsten Consulting from 2005 to present, I have worked on over 140 different political
campaigns as field director, campaign manager, fundraiser, or grassroots specialist. I currently own
my own company where work as a Grassroots Outreach Specialist alongside various developers
and zoning attorneys across the Valley. I specialize in door to door networking as an expert in
neighborhood outreach in the planning, development, and zoning community. I follow rezoning
projects through the pre application process, facilitate public meetings, knock on residents doors to
let them know about upcoming projects, and engage with neighbors and stakeholders throughout
the public hearing process.

Briefly explain why you would like to serve on the board / commission
My field of expertise as an entrepreneur who has spent the last 19 years working with
neighborhood leaders, political figures, the Valley's top consulting agencies, PR firms, community
organizations, developers and zoning attorneys makes me a great fit to serve on the Planning and
Zoning Commission. Through this experience, I have attended several hundred PZ Commission
hearings and City Council meetings across the state. As a resident of Chandler and as a nearly
lifelong resident of Arizona, I would love the opportunity to serve my community in helping to
further grow and develop this incredible City in a smart and sustainable way. I look forward to
bringing my expertise and experience to benefit the Planning and Zoning Commission, and
couldn't be more excited for this potential opportunity.
