Commissioner Shauna Risinger seconded the motion. All in favor of approving the meeting minutes. (10-0) Page 2 of 2 Action Agenda None Discussion City of Chandler Building Blocks Program Presentation Jason Hafen, Management Analyst Senior with the City of Chandler Neighborhood Resources, joined the meeting to share about the Building Blocks Program. The Building Blocks software is a tool that helps the City proactively identify neighborhoods that may benefit from additional support or resources. By analyzing data including police reports, census information, household and real estate data, and other community indicators, the software allows the City to pinpoint areas of need and uncover opportunities to strengthen community well-being. In line with this proactive approach, the HRC discussed hosting quarterly meetings within these identified neighborhoods. These meetings would serve as an opportunity for the HRC to introduce itself, share its mission, and engage directly with residents. By making this connection, the City can better understand community concerns, build trust, and ensure that programs and initiatives are responsive to the unique needs of each neighborhood. Connection & Impact Division Updates Niki Tapia shared the calendar of events listed on Basecamp. Chandler Police Department Updates None Member Comments/Announcements Chair Agarwal shared that she recently earned her doctorate. Members congratulated her on this achievement. Commissioner Morris provided an update on the recent Chandler Interfaith Coalition breakfast, which was attended by 70 participants and offered an opportunity for new connections and collaboration among faith leaders. Commissioner Risinger shared that her students wrote letters to veterans at the Chandler Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in honor of Veterans Day. Calendar The next regular meeting will be on Wednesday, December 10, at 6 p.m., City of Chandler Council Chambers Conference Room, 175 S. Arizona Avenue, Chandler, AZ 85225. Adjourn Chair Agarwal made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Vice Chair Ramirez seconded the motion.
