Scholarship Instructions & Scoring Rubric
Scoring Scale:
0 = Does Not Meet Criteria | 1 = Meets Criteria | 2 = Exceeds Criteria | 3 = Exceptional
Scholarship awards are based on the applicant’s educational/career goals, impact of disability,
demonstrated perseverance/self-advocacy, and strength of recommendations.
Instructions:
• Read the full application, including both recommendation letters, before scoring.
• Score each category using the 0–3 scale below.
• Base scores only on material submitted in the application and letters.
• Add scores for a total out of 15.
