RESOLUTION NO. 5969 
 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, 
ARIZONA, ACCEPTING A LAND USE LICENSE FROM SALT RIVER 
PROJECT AGRICULTURAL IMPROVEMENT AND POWER DISTRICT TO 
PROVIDE ACCESS TO ITS PROPERTY TO OPERATE AND MAINTAIN AN 
UNDERGROUND WATERLINE SERVING THE CITY’S RECLAIMED 
WATER INTERCONNECT FACILITY.  
 
 
 
WHEREAS, the Reclaimed Water Interconnect Facility (“RWIF”), located on the West side of 
McQueen Road south of Queen Creek Road, serves the public and the citizens of Chandler; and 
 
WHEREAS, Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District (“SRP”) and the City 
desire to transfer operation and maintenance of certain facilities located on SRP property that 
support the RWIF to Chandler under a Land Use License (“License”). 
                                                                                             
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, 
as follows: 
 
Section 1.  
Determines that entering into a License with SRP for access to SRP property to 
operate and maintain certain facilities required by the City’s RWIF, in the form 
attached hereto as Exhibit “A”, is for a public and necessary purpose, and is in the 
best interest of the Citizens of the City of Chandler. 
 
Section 2.    
Authorizes the Mayor of the City of Chandler, or designee, to execute the License 
and the City Manager or designee to execute any related documents for and on 
behalf of the City of Chandler.
