The meeting was called to order by Barbara Meyerson at 2:01 pm.

Consent Agenda
1. Approve Minutes from January 21, 2026, Museum Foundation Executive Subcommittee.

Board Member Rich Feely made a motion to approve minutes from January 21, 2026.

Board Member Greg Herriman seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously 3-0.
The minutes were approved as presented.

2. Approve Purchase of Temporary Barriers for Special Events.

Mr. Herriman made a motion to approve purchase of temporary barriers for special
events.

Mr. Feely seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously 3-0.

3. Update on Eddie Basha Exhibition Opening Event

Board Member Jacki Ryan shared updates on the event planning:
o Planning for 100 guests and have 55 RSVPs
o Vendors have been booked and contracts signed
o Eddie Basha’s truck will be on site for the event

The donor committee has decided to erect a banner to recognize the event donors.
Multiple vendors are being considered. The banner will be titled “Friends of Eddie.” It is
presumed that the cost will be below the $500 budget for event signage.
4. Museum Donor Wall

Mr. Herriman suggested using the lightboxes in the Museum Store to recognize donors
by culture, history, and art categories:
o Cost approximately $140 to print
o Update the lightboxes every 6 months

Determinations on donor amounts and length of time the recognition will be posted are
still to be decided.
5. Update on Keen Strategic Planning Process

Board Chair Barbara Meyerson received a draft of the strategic plan. The full plan is 155
pages, including mission, vision, goals, initiatives, and tactics. Museum Manager Jody
Crago is currently working on aligning timelines and tactics.

In the future, Keen will present the strategic plan to the board. The subcommittee
suggested that the city manager be invited to the presentation.

Mr. Feely requested more timeline-based updates in future meetings.
6. Report on Museum Store Inventory Purchases

Mr. Crago reported that the store committee met and decided to reorder items and
discount items that have not sold.

When the Chandler Museum State 48 shirts were purchased, the shirts were purchased
by the Museum. The Foundation purchased the shirts from the Museum to restock the
store.

Mrs. Meyerson suggested that future items could relate to the Eddie Basha exhibition.

8. Museum Manager's Report.

The Eddie Basha exhibition panels have been sent to the printer, and the walls for the
exhibition are in place.

Landscaping is scheduled to occur shortly around the Museum grounds to complete
sustainable cutbacks to prevent overgrowth. Selected plants will be cut back 50%, and
some plants will be removed to allow for even lighting.

Multiple board members and staff members attended the State of the City. It was well
attended, and the Museum assisted in the production with locations and historical
information.

The Museum is working to acquire equipment for Tumbleweed Ranch from Dwayne
Dobson.

The Tumbleweed Ranch final plan Phases 1 & 2 will focus on all areas around the two
houses and the new Red Shed Theater area. Expected contract bid will begin in July or
August, and then construction will begin.

As part of the City’s initiative for America 250, the Museum contributed to the production
of the 27 Flags: Our History through the Stars and Stripes exhibition. 14 locations across
the city have flags, and the Museum is stop 6. From June 13 through July 3, the flags will
come together in the Museum’s Agave Room. The interactive Red, White, and Blue Pass
encourages visitors to gain points across the city for prizes.
o Additional programming for America 250 includes the upcoming History Bites, C-
Town, Art Tots, and Book Club.

On February 8, the Play Day program had birds and reptiles present.

Later this year, the Unlovable exhibition will be on display at the Vision Gallery.
