4. Mark Whitaker – spoke about his role of the Chandler Exchange Club and the Field of Hope
dedication of the Field on April 12, 2026 in Dr. A.J. Chandler Park – West. The Field of Hope
will remain standing from April 12-17, 2026.
5. Kimberly Humphreys, Heart Joy Transformation, attended to share her interest in having
Heart Joy Transformation serve as an agency on the Domestic Violence Commission
Unscheduled Public Appearances
Renai Ricketts – Chandler resident introduced herself and her interest in working in the
advocacy field and supporting the domestic violence prevention initiatives.

6. Approval of Domestic Violence Commission Regular Meeting Minutes.

7. Approval of Domestic Violence Commission Subcommittee Meeting Minutes
Motion to approve the minutes of January 14, 2026

Discussion
8. DV Commission discussed their participation in the Dedication of the Field of Hope Event on
Sunday, April 12, 2026. Mark Whitaker, Chandler Exchange Club, shared the logistics of the
upcoming event.
9. DV Commission discussed the 2026 Proclamations: Child Abuse Prevention Month for April.
Discussion about a joint Proclamation with Chandler Exchange Club and Katie will speak with
Mark Whitaker because he left the meeting. Commissioner Grieve agreed to write a
collaborative one, if the Chandler Exchange Club agrees. Commissioner Grieve also agreed to
write the Intimate Partner Sexual Assault Awareness Month Proclamation. Domestic Violence
Awareness Month Proclamation will be written by Vice Chair Curtis for the June meeting.
10. Domestic Violence Awareness Event 2026 – Commissioners will come to next meeting with
title ideas for the theme of Intimate Partner Dating Violence
11. Discussion about the Three – Five Year Strategic Plan – tabled to the next meeting
