Meeting Minutes Human Relations Commission Regular Meeting March 25, 2026 | 6:00 p.m. City Council Chambers Conference Room 88 E. Chicago St., Chandler, AZ 85225 Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Vice Chair Ramirez at 6:05 p.m. Roll Call Commission Attendance Staff Attendance Chair Kriti Agarwal Niki Tapia, Cultural Development Ast. Director Vice Chair Betty Ramirez CC Cantabrana, Management Assistant Commissioner Pamela Morris Taylor Ducklow, Braver Spaces Consulting Commissioner Garry Ong Commissioner Shauna Risinger Commissioner Joacim Mattisson Commissioner Jevan Bremby Commissioner Tony Pham Commissioner Erica Maxwell Commissioner Omar Rodriguez Commissioners Absent Commissioner Kent Lane Scheduled and Unscheduled Public Appearances None Consent Agenda Motion and Vote Commissioner Bremby made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of February 25, 2026. Vice Chair Ramirez seconded the motion. All in favor of approving the meeting minutes. (10-0) Action Agenda Consideration and possible action to cancel the June 24 HRC meeting as part of a summer recess. Page 2 of 2 Discussion Connection & Impact Updates Niki Tapia shared that members of the Human Relations Commission have been reinstated for the upcoming year. She also noted that at a future meeting, pending Commission approval, there may be a change in HRC leadership, including the election of a new Chair and new Vice Chair. CC Cantabrana shared that Connection & Impact has been receiving a high volume of YouthSpark Education grant requests. Cantabrana also shared that the division has been invited by Hartford Elementary to participate in a school celebration on April 24. Cantabrana requested that one HRC member attend the event with her to staff a table, engage with the community, and distribute giveaways to students and their families. Vice Chair Betty Ramirez volunteered to participate and expressed that she is looking forward to the event. HRC Goal Setting and Next Steps Taylor Ducklow from Braver Spaces Consulting engaged the Commission in a goal-setting orientation and interactive workshop. Commissioners discussed the strengths of the Commission, identified gaps, and explored sustainable goals moving forward. Ducklow will return at the next meeting to continue the goal- setting process and support the Commission in activating these goals. Chicago St., Chandler, AZ 85225. Adjourn Commissioner Risinger made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Vice Chair Ramirez seconded the motion. All in favor to adjourn the meeting (10-0).
