The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kevin Hartke at 6:02 p.m.

Scheduled Public Appearances 
MAYOR HARKE invited Vice Mayor Encinas to join him for the scheduled public appearances. 
 
1. Proclamation: Valley Bike Month  
MAYOR HARTKE read the proclamation and invited Jason Crampton, Transportation Planning 
Manager, and Nancy Jackson, Senior Transportation Planning Program Coordinator, to accept.  
 
MS. JACKSON thanked Mayor and Council and the community for their support of the Annual 
Chandler Family Bike Ride. The 18th Annual Chandler Family Bike Ride event will take place on

Saturday, April 11, beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Chandler Park & Ride on Hamilton Street and 
Germann Road.  
 
2. Proclamation: Library Week 
VICE MAYOR ENCINAS read the proclamation and invited Rachelle Kuyzk, Library Senior Manager, 
and Jo-el Miller, Library Manager, to accept.  
 
MS. KUYZK thanked Mayor and Council for their support of the Chandler Public Libraries. She 
welcomed the community to visit the new Discovery Library Bookmobile and the renovated 
Hamilton Library. She announced that April 1 is Library Giving Day, and information about 
supporting the Chandler Public Library can be found at chandlerlibrary.org.  
 
3. Service Recognitions 
SANDIP DHOLAKIA, Chief Information Officer, recognized Terson Delva, Information Technology 
Systems Analyst, for his 10 years of service with the City of Chandler.  
 
MAYOR HARTKE recognized Alexis Apodaca, Mayor & Council Public Affairs Senior Manager, for 
her last meeting with City Council.  
 
4. Retirement Recognitions  
MATT BURDICK, Communications and Public Affairs Director, recognized Jennifer Honea, Public 
Information Officer, for her 25 years of service with the City of Chandler and her retirement.  
 
JEREMY ABBOTT, Public Works & Utilities Director, recognized Liz Denning, Public Works Financial 
Services Supervisor, for her 25 years of service with the City of Chandler and her retirement.

that is no Longer Needed for Public Use

Move City Council adopt Ordinance No. 5153 approving the abandonment of a temporary 
drainage easement located on the west side of Lot 3, in the Chandler Airport Business Park 
that is no longer needed for public use. 
 
Consent Agenda Motion and Vote  
Councilmember Orlando moved to approve the Consent Agenda of the March 23, 2026, Regular 
City Council Meeting; Seconded by Vice Mayor Encinas.  
 
Motion carried unanimously (7-0).
