Commissioner Roeder will be speaking along with Katie Can regarding the FAC
4. Discussion about the April Proclamations – Child Abuse Prevention Month and Sexual
Assault Awareness Prevention Month – Read at the April 6, 2026, City Council Meeting.
5. Discussion about the DV Commission’s hosted Mother’s Day Brunch at My Sister’s Place on
Saturday May 9, 2026.
Local Vendor will provide food for event
Providing crafts for the children
Decorations, Flowers & Gift Cards for the event
6. Discussion about the Domestic Violence Awareness Event – Tuesday September 29, 2026
Suggestions for Domestic Violence Awareness Themes
Event descriptions, decorations, panel speakers, save the date to be sent in June
Exhibit tables
Assignments of Commissioners for Panel Speakers, food, & decorations
Documentation of process so it can be given to future Commissioners
7. Community Outreach Subcommittee Update
Activities for the Boys & Girls Club in June between 10am – 4pm
Participating in Boys & Girls Club during a Parents Night
Read across America events
8. Discussion about the Three-Five Strategic Plan
Finalize the working vision, working mission, pillars, & effectiveness of the commission
