RESOLUTION NO. 6011 
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, 
ARIZONA, 
APPROVING 
AMENDMENT 
#1 
TO 
THE  
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT 
BETWEEN 
THE 
CITY 
OF 
CHANDLER AND MARICOPA COUNTY BY AND THROUGH THE 
MARICOPA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE FOR THE PARTICIPATION IN 
SWORN OFFICER AND DETENTION OFFICER TRAINING ACADEMIES 
WHEREAS, the City of Chandler, and Maricopa County by and through the Maricopa County 
Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement on November 14, 2025 in 
which the City of Chandler law enforcement officers and detention recruits would attend MSCO 
Arizona Peace Officers Standard Training and Detention Officer Training Academies.  
WHEREAS, #7 of the Intergovernmental Agreement will increase from $750 per recruit to $1,500 
per law enforcement officer recruit and from $250 per recruit to $1,000 per recruit for detention 
recruit, payable to Maricopa County.  All other terms and conditions will remain in effect.   
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, 
as follows: 
Section 1. 
Approving Amendment #1 to the Intergovernmental Agreement between the City 
of Chandler and Maricopa County by and through the Maricopa County Sheriff’s 
Office for the participation in sworn officer and detention officer training 
academies. 
Section 2. 
Authorizing the Mayor to execute Amendment #1 to the Intergovernmental 
Agreement on behalf of the City of Chandler.  
Section 2. 
Authorizing the Police Chief of the Chandler Police Department, or his designee, 
to perform all acts necessary to give effect to this Resolution and comply with the 
terms of the Intergovernmental Agreement as amended.
