1 AMENDMENT #1 TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN MARICOPA COUNTY AND CITY OF CHANDLER FOR MCSO SWORN AND DETENTION BASIC TRAINING C-50-26-026-X-01 This Amendment to the Agreement between the City of Chandler, on behalf of the Chandler Police Department, (“Chandler PD”) and Maricopa County on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office (“MCSO”) shall be effective on July 1, 2026, and upon approval of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and the City of Chandler. Recitals WHEREAS, the County acting on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office and the City of Chandler entered into an Agreement (“Initial Agreement”) for Sworn Basic Training, executed October 22, 2025, (C-50-26-026-X-00). WHEREAS, MCSO has maintained a registration rate of $750 per sworn recruit and $250 per detention recruit for the past five (5) years. Agreement The Term of this Amendment is July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029. Parties agree to the following terms: 1. Per #7 under MCSO Will of the Initial Agreement, the non-refundable registration amount for sworn recruits will increase from $750 per recruit to $1,500 per recruit and from $250 per recruit to $1,000 per recruit for detention recruits, payable to Maricopa County. 2. No other terms and conditions of the Initial Agreement are affected by this amendment.
