Cancellation of the Election of the Board of Directors of Fountain Hills Sanitary 
District 
Dear Ms. Garza: 
I am writing to request that the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors ("Board of 
Supervisors") approve the cancellation of the election of the Board of Directors of Fountain 
Hills Sanitary District ("District") that is to be held on November 7, 2023, pursuant to A.R S. 
§§ 16-410(A) and 48-2010(A). 
The qualified electors of the District have nominated Clayton R. Corey for the office of 
Director, and the District has received no other nomination petitions or nomination papers. 
Because the candidate will be running unopposed, the District requests that the Board of 
Supervisors approve the cancellation of the election and appoint Clayton R. Corey, who is duly 
qualified, for the office of Director to which he has been serving previously. The term he will 
serve as Director will be from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2027.
