Indigenous Education. Holds a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an
emphasis in Indian Education from Arizona State University. Expert in both direct classroom
instructionspanning 17 years across middle and high school levelsand strategic program
management. Currently driving student success and cultural programming as the Indigenous
Education Program lead for the Chandler Unified School District.
Board/Committee Experience
My dedication to Indigenous Education is both professional and personal. Beyond my 20-year
career as an educator, I served for several years on the Indian Parent Committee, providing me
with a unique perspective as both an advocate for my children and a partner to the school
district.
Briefly explain why you would like to serve on the board / commission
Through my Master's degree from ASU and my current leadership role in the Indigenous
Education Program, I have dedicated my career to building curricula and programs that honor
Native American cultural identity. I want to bring this expertise to the committee to help
cultivate a culture of equity that goes beyond simple representation and fosters true belonging.

Professional Experience
For the past five years I have managed national sales for Rheem Manufacturing, the largest world
manufacturer of HVAC and water heating technologies. Prior to Rheem, I was part of the leadership
for Ferguson Enterprises, the largest US and world distributor of plumbing and heating products.
For 25 years led and consulted with teams in the development of a 1.5 billion a year private label
business within Ferguson. Prior to that, I worked in retail plumbing and design. And prior to that,
for 5 years I was an elementary education teacher.
Board/Committee Experience
I have not served on any public boards or commissions other than our local HOA in Chandler. I
have served in a variety of leadership roles at the various churches we have belonged to over the
years.
Briefly explain why you would like to serve on the board / commission
Good government begins locally, and those who want good government have an obligation to
serve in ways that lead to responsible government management. As I get close to and in
retirement, I have the time and interest to look at serving my community in this way. We chose
Chandler for the quality of life, solid business climate, and good government when we moved here
in 2011. If there are ways that I can help continue those characteristics, I would be happy to serve.
