RESOLUTION NO. 6009 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHANDLER, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR TRANSIT SERVICES BETWEEN THE REGIONAL PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (RPTA) AND THE CITY OF CHANDLER TO PROVIDE FIXED ROUTE BUS, PARATRANSIT, AND RIDECHOICE SERVICES AND APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF PUBLIC FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026/2027 IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $1,459,766. WHEREAS, the City of Chandler desires to provide Fixed Route Transit, Paratransit, and RideChoice transportation services to its citizens, including those with disabilities and the elderly; and WHEREAS, an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) between the City of Chandler and the RPTA was approved through Resolution 5955 to provide Fixed Route Transit, Paratransit and Ride Choice transportation services for City of Chandler citizens; and WHEREAS, the term of the IGA, as amended, will be effective as of July 1, 2026, in order to cover services for the fiscal year 2026–27. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, as follows: Section 1. Approving the terms and conditions of Amendment Number One to the IGA with the RPTA to provide Fixed Route Bus, Paratransit, and RideChoice transportation services to the City of Chandler; and Section 2. Authorizing the Mayor to sign and execute the Amendment Number One of the IGA on behalf of the City of Chandler; and Section 3. Authorizing the expenditure of public funds in an estimated amount of $1,459,766. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Chandler, Arizona, this ____ day of June, 2026.
