AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO 
ESTABLISH 
A 
NON-STANDARD 
CROSSWALK 
TREATMENT PROGRAM AND RELATED POLICIES FOR 
THE STREET TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT. 
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHOENIX as 
SECTION 1. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to establish 
a Non-Standard Crosswalk Treatment Program and policies for the evaluation of 
applications and requirements for design, installation and on-going maintenance. The 
installation of any new non-standard crosswalk must be approved by the City Council. 
The City will install and maintain the crosswalks and all costs will be recovered from the 
applicant. 
PASSED by the Council of the City of Phoenix this 19th day of June, 
2019.
