To abandon an existing irregular shaped 
drainage easement. The drainage 
easement was recorded within the Final Plat 
for Milo Generations AZ1 (Recording No. 
20110302825, 4/8/2011, Book 1082, Page 
11). 
  
 
Purpose of request:  
The applicant states there are no existing 
drainage facilities within the drainage 
easement; thus, abandoning the drainage 
easement would allow an increased 
buildable area on the lot.

City Staff Comments and Recommendations: 
 
PDD Civil Reviewer – Alejandro Hernandez 
6.8.2 Collector and Arterial Streets: Storm water retention is not required for collector and 
arterial street rights of way. Classification of streets shall be per the Street Transportation 
Department "Street Classification Map". The developer will abandon this drainage easement at 
their own "risk". Future development could result in the need to retain half street flows 
necessitating the need for another drainage easement as this is the low point of the street. 
 
Water Services Department – Donald Reynolds 
WSD has no stipulations for the abandonment of the Drainage easement only. 
 
PDD Site Planner – Dru Maynus 
Recommend approval.
