Attachment A City of Phoenix Benchmark Status Last Updated: 12/1/2020 About the Benchmark Data The Arizona Department of Health Services has established three (3) specific metrics in establishing reopening benchmarks schools and businesses in Arizona. These benchmarks are: 1) Percent positive of COVID‐19 cases each week; and 2) New cases per 100,000 population; and 3) Percent of COVID‐Like Illness cases presenting in hospitals These benchmarks can be applied to any community or political subdivision of the state for which data related to the benchmarks is available. The data for this report was obtained from the Maricopa County Department of Public Health Reopening Dashboard, which permits the data to be filtered in several ways, including down to the city, school district or zip code level. The data for this dashboard is updated each week on Thursday and validated for a 2‐weeks period, with a 12‐day delay to allow for a lag in receiving data. The report for each week is depicted below.
