1. AGREEMENT WITH THE ARIZONA BOARD OF REGENTS ON BEHALF OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA AND ITS CENTER FOR INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE Approve an Agreement between the Arizona Board of Regents on behalf of the University of Arizona and its Center for Integrative Medicine (the Center) and Maricopa County through the Department of Business Strategies and Health Care Programs. Maricopa County will add the Center as a provider under its employee health benefit plans, and will allow its researchers access to de-identified health data for purposes of conducting a three-year research study of the effectiveness of Integrative Medicine. The term of the agreement is from date of full execution through June 30, 2015. The purpose of this Agreement is to establish a mutually agreeable framework for the Center and the County to collaborate in a comparative health outcomes research project through the new Integrative Primary Care Clinic being established by the Center in Maricopa County. The new clinic will be made available to benefit-covered County employees and dependents as a covered provider under the County’s health benefit plans. The County will provide aggregated, de-identified health care data to the Center for use in a research study comparing the health outcomes associated with integrative medicine vs. conventional medical practice. A Limited Data Use Addendum signed by the parties will be attached to this Agreement and incorporated by reference. (C-39-12-017-M-00)
