PRESENTATION: Road Condition Update and Possible Bond Discussion
Staff will present information for a discussion regarding a potential roadway bond as a funding mechanism to address the Town's pavement reconstruction backlog. The presentation will include historical roadway funding efforts, resident survey results, current pavement conditions, backlog trends, and preliminary planning-level cost estimates associated with addressing existing and projected roadway reconstruction needs.Staff will also discuss potential funding horizons, roadway prioritization considerations, and the distinction between pavement reconstruction activities and ongoing pavement preservation efforts. The purpose of the presentation is to facilitate Council discussion and obtain direction regarding whether staff should continue evaluating potential roadway bond scenarios and related backlog funding strategies.
