COMMUNITY OUTREACH POLICY Approve and authorize the new Community Outreach Policy which defines allowable expenditures related to community outreach and other strategic initiatives or events in which the Board of Supervisors are either engaged or participate. The Policy provides for the Board of Supervisors to participate in activities that provide a benefit to the County and its citizens. 30. MARICOPA COUNTY COMMUNITY OUTREACH POLICY (A1120) REVISION Approve the revisions to the Maricopa County Community Outreach Policy (A1120) effective June 28, 2023. These revisions remove language requiring certain community outreach funds to be spent on unincorporated areas of Maricopa County, adds language clarifying that purchases are to be made in full compliance with Maricopa County Procurement Code, increases the cost limit per event from $5,000 to $10,000, and increases the limit of total costs of all events charged to Board Member’s approved budget from $15,000 to $35,000. This Policy applies to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. This policy was originally approved by the Board on December 9, 2020 (C-18-21-034-X-00) and revised on July 27, 2022 (C-18-21-034-X-01). (C-18-21-034-X-02)
