52. ACCEPT STATE APPROPRIATION FUNDING FOR MARICOPA COUNTY ATTORNEY’S OFFICE AND APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT Approve acceptance of state appropriation funding for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in the amount of $2,000,000 for sexual assault investigator training and anti-human trafficking activities. This funding is nonrecurring and has not been awarded to MCAO in the past for this purpose. The anticipated funding term is from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. In accordance with A.R.S. §42-17106 (B), approve the following amendments to the FY 2026 budget: 1. Increase the revenue and expenditure authorities for County Attorney (D190) General Fund (100) Non Recurring (NRNP) budget by $2,000,000. State legislative appropriations are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation and, therefore, expenditure of the funds is not prohibited by the budget law. The approval of this action does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. (C-18-26-011-X-00)
