74. BUDGET REVISION TO GRANT FUNDS FROM U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES FOR HEAD START PROGRAMS Approve Amendment No. 2 to the grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)/Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Head Start (OHS), Grant No. 09HE000185-01-02. Amendment No. 2 is a budget revision which allocates $689,000 for Equipment purchases. The Human Services Department Head Start Program received a Notice of Award (NOA) for the budget revision. The total grant amount remains unchanged at $1,864,349. The budget period for this grant is April 1, 2021 through March 31, 2023. The Head Start program submitted an Application for Federal Assistance SF-424 for the budget revision in March 2022. The Head Start Program will utilize the funds for equipment that will enhance outdoor play experiences. The budget revision will not impact the County General fund. EXTENSION TO GRANT FROM U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES FOR HEAD START PROGRAMS Approve the grant extension for Grant No. 09HE000185-01-03 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)/Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Head Start (OHS), Federal Award Project Title COVID (P.L. 116-260) & American Rescue Plan. The Human Services Department Head Start Program received a Notice of Award (NOA) for the grant extension from March 31, 2023, through March 31, 2024. The total grant amount remains unchanged at $1,864,349. The grant extension allows for the Maricopa County Head Start program to complete Health and Safety facility repairs at several Head Start sites. The grant extension will not impact the County General fund. Supervisory District: All (C-22-21-113-X-03)
