IGA WITH MARICOPA COUNTY LIBRARY DISTRICT FOR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING SERVICES Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (“Agreement”) between the Maricopa County Library District (“Library District”) and Maricopa County Human Services Department (“County”), Workforce Development Division (“Department”) pertaining to Workforce Development services. The County and the Library District collectively are referred to as the “Parties” and individually as the “Party.” The purpose of the Agreement is to address the following: 1. Integrate County workforce development system into Library District’s social and community services resource network. Workforce Development Coordinators will be located in 2 Library District’s locations and will provide job seeker and employment information to individuals in the local area. 2. Service activities shall be delivered within: a. Gila Bend Library located at 777 N Logan Avenue, Gila Bend, AZ 85337; and b. Queen Creek Library located at 21802 S. Ellsworth Road, Queen Creek, AZ 85142. 3. The Agreement may be extended as many times as is desirable, but each extension may not exceed the duration of the previous agreement. 58. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH MARICOPA COUNTY LIBRARY DISTRICT FOR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING SERVICES Approve a non-financial Amendment No. 1 to the Intergovernmental Agreement (“Agreement”) between the Maricopa County Library District (“Library District”) and Maricopa County Human Services Department. The purpose of this Agreement is to integrate the Human Services workforce development system into the Library District’s social and community services resource network. The Parties agree to support workforce development activities and training efforts that will enable the local employers to attract and retain top talent, as well as to provide job seekers with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program services (“Program”). Workforce Development Coordinators will be located in 2 Library District’s locations and will provide job seeker and employment information to individuals in the local area. The purpose of the Amendment No. 1 is to address the following: A. Extend the Agreement termination date from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2026. B. Update point of contact in Section 8.0 (NOTICES).
