37. IGA WITH THE CITY OF GLENDALE FOR HEAT RELIEF SERVICES FOR HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS Approve financial Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Glendale and Maricopa County administered by its Human Services Department. The purpose of the Agreement is to expand heat relief services to people experiencing homelessness, and also serve other vulnerable populations at risk of suffering from heat-related illness or death in the greater Glendale area. The Subrecipient shall provide heat relief respite centers – 7 days per week 12:00 PM to 8 PM during the months of May 1, 2023, through October 31, 2023. An estimated minimum of 90 individuals per day are anticipated to receive services. The County shall provide the Subrecipient with $771,000 in American Rescue Plan Act, Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery (ARPA) Funds under the Assistance Listing Number 21.027. The Agreement is effective beginning April 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023. Also request authorization for the Chairman to approve and execute Administrative Change Orders upon the recommendation of the Human Services Director and Legal Counsel as identified in Section 5.0 (Administrative Change Orders).
