80. IGA WITH CITY OF TEMPE FOR COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT INITIATIVES Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (“Agreement”) between the City of Tempe (“City or Contractor”) and Maricopa County, administered by its Human Services Department (“County”). The City and County are collectively referred to here as the “Parties” and individually as a “Party.” The County seeks to support the City’s Expanded Food Security Initiative (the “Initiative”) to expand access to food and nutrition for recurrent users of food pantry services by providing emergency food boxes, nutritional education, and community resource navigation to improve economic security and physical health and wellbeing in the City of Tempe and surrounding area. The County shall provide the Contractor with Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) funds for Initiative activities in the amount of $62,500; period of funding availability and term of the Agreement shall be retroactive to November 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024. Also request authorization for the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to approve and execute Administrative Change Orders upon the recommendation of the Human Services Department Director and Legal Counsel on behalf of the County as identified in Section 5.0, (Administrative Change Orders), subsection 5.1 in the Agreement. 46. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH CITY OF TEMPE FOR COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT INITIATIVES Approve financial Amendment No. 1 to the Intergovernmental Agreement (“Agreement”) between the City of Tempe (“City or Subrecipient”) and Maricopa County, administered by its Human Services Department (“County”). The purpose of the Agreement is to support the Subrecipient’s Expanded Food Security Initiative (the “Initiative”) to provide access to food and nutrition assistance for residents in the Tempe area. The County has provided the Subrecipient with Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Funds under Assistance Listing Number (ALN) 93.569. The purpose of the Amendment is to address the following items: A. Extend the Agreement term from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. B. Revise Paragraph 6 (Funding) to address funding for the extension term. The County shall provide the Subrecipient with a not to exceed amount of $75,000 in CSBG funds. The funding period of availability is July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. C. Revise Paragraph 13.0 (Notices) by updating the County contact information.
