39. AMENDMENT TO THE DECLARATION OF TRUST FOR MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA SELF-INSURED BENEFITS TRUST FUND Approve and adopt the Restated and Revised Declaration of Trust for Maricopa County, Arizona Self-Insured Benefits Trust Fund (3rd amendment). The revisions to the Declaration of Trust would amend the prior declaration of trust in the areas summarized on Exhibit A. The proposed revision to section 5.3 of the Trust Document clarifies acceptance of the County’s past practice of using contracted actuary/consultant with requisite license to satisfy Title 20, Chapter 2, Articles 3 and 9 of the Arizona Revised Statutes. Exhibit A is a redlined version of the Restated and Revised Declaration of Trust (3r d amendment). Exhibit B is the restatement. The Maricopa County Self-Insured Benefits Trust Fund Board of Trustees reviewed and provided input on the proposed revised declaration of trust at their regular meeting held on April 25, 2023.
