40. VOLUNTARY BENEFITS RATES FOR PLAN YEAR 2024 1. Approve the Voluntary Benefit (Short-Term Disability, Employee Assistance Program, Basic Life and AD&D) rates for active employees for January 1 through December 31, 2024, as outlined on the attached E xhibit A. 2. Approve continuation of offering additional life and AD&D insurance at the employees’ sole expense for the plan year January 1 through December 31, 2024 including rates as reflected on the attached Exhibit A. 3. Approve continuation of the F lexible Spending Program for the plan year January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024. Approve any change in the annual contribution limit for 2024 as released by the IRS. The attached Exhibit A illustrates the employee cost, and employer cost for the benefit rates for active employees. Exhibit B includes The Maricopa County Benefits Plan (Thirteenth Amendment and Restatement) which governs how employee health and welfare benefits (such as medical, prescription, behavioral health, dental, flexible spend ing accounts, etc.) are administered.
