28. LOCAL AID FOR COMMON SCHOOLS REMITTANCE Pursuant to Laws 2024, Ch. 134, Sec. 6, ratify the Maricopa County Treasurer’s Office’s authority to remit local aid for common schools monies from tax year 2023 to the Arizona State Treasurer’s Office. These monies were levied pursuant to A.R.S. § 15-992(F) and collected by the Maricopa County Treasurer’s Office per A.R.S. § 42-18003. The Maricopa County Treasurer’s Office is directed to disburse monies according to the law under A.R.S. § 11-491. The remittance statement is on file in the Clerk of the Board's Office and retained in accordance with the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records (ASLAPR) approved retention schedule.
