26. IGA WITH THE TOWN OF CAREFREE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES Approve an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) for Law Enforcement Services with the Town of Carefree and Maricopa County on behalf of the Sheriff's Office contracting for .30 beats of service plus a .5 FTE traffic deputy in the not-to-exceed amount of $583,349.17 for the first fiscal year (FY 2024). Costs are updated annually with notice provided to the Town by February 20 for the next fiscal year. The initial term of this agreement is July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2026, to be followed by one, three-year automatic renewal unless a non-renewal notice has been issued by either party. This contract supersedes the current agreement (C-50-17-096-3-00 and C-50-17-096-3-01) and is terminable without cause upon twelve (12) months written notice or within (90) days of an uncured breach. This contract is managed through Sheriff's District IV. The Town of Carefree has contracted with the Sheriff’s Office for many years. (C-50-23-207-X-00)
